A Marcos-opposition-backed candidate has a much better chance to defeat Vice-President Sara Duterte in the 2028 presidential election compared to a three-way fight for the presidency, a political analyst said. Dr. Maria Fe Mendoza, former dean of the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance, said Duterte would have a stronger chance of winning the presidency if President Bongbong Marcos and the opposition field separate candidates in the 2028 race. |
